Tuan Malinowski (they/them) is a New York—based director and choreographer, re-examining the landscape of the American theatre through their lens as a queer, non-binary, Asian American adoptee.
Malinowski’s work includes a world premiere at Northern Stage, as well as productions at Weathervane Theatre, Texas State University, Ithaca College, Viterbo University and the University of Alabama at Birmingham. They have choreographed for celebrated New York—events, such as Jay Armstrong Johnson’s I Put A Spell On You and Leg Up On Life’s Night of Life. Malinowski is an alum of Dance Lab New York’s DLNY Connect and New York Theatre Barn’s Choreography Lab. As an associate/assistant, their credits include Chay Yew’s re-examination of South Pacific at Goodspeed Musicals, Pittsburgh CLO’s world premiere of Game On, and MISS STEP, a new musical being developed with MCC Theater, co-choreographed by Connor Gallagher and Laganja Estranja.
